Season 8 Launch — New Heroes, Map, and Battle Pass
Marvel Rivals Season 8 is now live, introducing Professor X as a new Strategist hero, the Xavier's School map, a 100-tier Battle Pass with mutant-themed cosmetics, and significant balance changes across the roster.
- New Strategist hero: Professor X — telepathic mind control and area healing abilities
- New map: Xavier's School — destructible indoor-outdoor combat arena with classroom environments
- Season 8 Battle Pass: 100 tiers featuring classic comic-inspired skins for X-Men characters

Patch 1.5.2 — Competitive tuning & Spider-Man buffs
Mid-season balance patch focused on competitive play adjustments. Spider-Man receives mobility buffs, Strategist healing output standardized, and various bug fixes for environmental destruction interactions.
- Spider-Man web swing cooldown reduced from 6s to 5s for improved mobility
- Strategist healing output standardized across all support heroes for balanced team sustain
- Fixed issue where destroyed walls would reappear after respawn on Tokyo 2099
- Enhanced footstep audio now plays correctly for flanking heroes in stealth

Patch 1.4.3 — Team-Up skill rebalance
Team-Up skill mechanics overhauled for better balance. Weather Berserker and Symbiotic Frenzy combos tuned down slightly, while underused Team-Up combinations received buffs to increase roster diversity in competitive play.
- Weather Berserker (Wolverine + Storm) chain lightning damage reduced from 40 to 30 per chain
